These are questions we regularly field regarding inflatables.  If you don't see your question answered, please do not hesitate to email us.
Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?
A: Setup yes, delivery, not always.  We have a delivery crew that must do two roundtrips to your location, plus setup time, teardown time, gas, insurance, and other assorted related expenses.  The rental amount is separate from those.  Delivery pricing is often dependant on day, location, time flexibility, and ease of delivery/pickup. Prices also do not include rental tax (for Chicago locations), hard surface fees (for non grass setups), or generators(if you don't have an available outlet).
Q: We have rented some really dirty inflatables from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
A: No. The inflatable should be clean when you get it. Let the World Know cleans and disinfects after every rental.
Q: What happens with inclement weather?
A. Children's/participants' safety is important to us and you play a vital role in ensuring their safety.  Your personal supervision is absolutely required.  As the lessee of a Let the World Know inflatable, the safety of all children/participants is your responsibility.
During periods of severe weather conditions (i.e. rain chances greater than 50%, high winds, etc.) we reserve the right to cancel your rental for safety reasons. We will monitor the weather using the Accuweather app.  If the forecast (24 hours prior to your event) calls for greater than a 50% chance of rain during your scheduled event time, we may cancel the inflatable portion of your rental.  This is for the safety of your guests as well as our staff and equipment.  If we cancel the inflatable portion of your rental, we will reimburse the applicable payment, or you may use that payment towards other rental items.Don't be one of those people that gets upset because your only source of entertainment was the inflatable and you're okay with putting the safety of the participants on the backburner.  Plan ahead...We have a plethora of worthy event equipment or entertainment substitutes that can be used indoors or that won't put participants in harm's way if used in the rain.  Inflatables should not be used during rain, thunderstorms, or high winds.  If, during your rental, it does rain, your guests must exit the inflatables and wait for the rain to stop.  After the rain stops, participants may go inside and dry the unit thoroughly with some towels and continue play.
Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the inflatable unit the entire time. Once unplugged they deflate. That is why we require an outlet within 50ft of setup area.  Longer cords can trip your circuit breaker and are not suggested by blower manufacturers.  We will provide our own extension cords.  We will not use customer extension cords.  If there is thunder/lightning, we may ask that you turn the blowers off.
Q: What about parks? Do parks have electricity?
A: We don't mind setting up at parks but most parks do NOT have electricity.   If you want to set up at a park, you must rent a generator.  We can include that in your order.   Also, most parks and forest preserves will require a permit and insurance which are additional costs to consider.  All park pickups will be completed by 6pm.
Q: What if we need to cancel our inflatable order?A: Please check out our policies page for details.
Q: How big are the inflatables?A: While we do have a few inflatables that can fit inside locations with lower ceilings, most of our jumps are 15ft long  x 15ft wide.   Please note the space required for each inflatable (listed near the large picture) as some are VERY big and require extra space. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure it will fit. Jumps need room to be staked and they need room for the blower and cannot rub against walls, trees, and gutters as this may damage the jump.  Don't forget to look above to check for low hanging wires and tree branches that might impede the inflatation of the inflatable.   If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup.
Q: What about the big inflatables? Any special requirements?
A: Check the requirements listed with each inflatable. Also, make sure you have at least a 4ft clearance/access to the area where it will be set up. The inflatable can weigh up to 650 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room.
Q: What surfaces do you set up on?A: We can set up on GRASS (our favorite and best for the kids), asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can´t set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl inflatables.   We will need to know the surface in advance.  If we arrive and are unable to setup because of the incorrect staking materials...a trip charge will be assessed to return.  If we are unable to setup, you may be charged 50% of the rental rate .
Q: Can we see a copy of your contract and safety rules?A: Yes. There is a link in your receipt once you've ordered or you may contact our office.
Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?
A: Yes and no.  You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units.  Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time.  If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation.  If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc which can cost thousands of dollars.  We don't want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator.
